On 21 August 1989, The Cure released a new single Lovesong, taken from their album Disintegration. It's backed with two additional new tracks, 2 Late and Fear Of Ghosts. All formats are available, issued through Fiction Records. The original UK 7inch pressing [FICS 30] features remix of Lovesong b/w 2 Late as a B-side. Later, a limited edition of the 7inch Lovebox [FICSG 30] was released. This limited edition of 10,000 copies included a linen print of the original artwork. The cassingle of Lovesong [FICCS 30] has the same two tracks as the 7inch.
The original UK 12inch pressing [FICSX 30] features extended remix of Lovesong b/w 2 Late and Fear Of Ghosts as an extra track.
The original UK CD [FICCD 30] features both remixes of Lovesong with 2 Late and Fear Of Ghosts.
Single Lovesong entered the UK charts, where it would peak at number 18.
